Kimura Bonsai is pleased to announce as part of our visiting artist program an opportunity to be part of a workshop with Maliea Chiem, an amazing young bonsai artist from Maine. Maliea spent several years as an apprentice to Collin Lewis and just recently spent several months in Italy studying with Sandra Segneri one of Italy's finest bonsai artist.As a result she has developed a unique style all her own. Maliea with her own innate artistic vision combined with the many skills she's learned from these world class teachers has a lot to share with the bonsai community. On Saturday March 10th Maliea will be leading a bring your own tree workshop and sharing that vision and those skills here at Kimura Bonsai. She will help participants get the most out of the material they bring in and share her artistic and technical skills to bring the trees to the next level. The workshop will start at 9am Saturday March 10th 2018 and last until 3pm. Participants will bring their own material-or purchase a tree here and receive 25% off- and Maliea will help guide them through the process of finding the best in that tree and develop a plan to bring it beyond that.
